Manager/Director, Drug Discovery Department

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist the department head to set up and coordinate all of the experiments within the department in order to reach the company goal regarding to drug screening.
  • Manage all aspects of the work for certain drug targets, including target selection, assay development and validation, routine assay running, etc.
  • Investigate on newly identified drug targets,evaluate the feasibility of working on these targets, write up detailed project proposals.
  • Help draw up and refine department rules and SOPs, supervise the effective implementation of the details.

Main job requirements:

  • Master’s degree or above, major in biology, pharmacology, medicine or related fields. More than 8 years working experience for Masters and 5 years working experience for Doctors. Previous experience in Pharmaceuticals or Biotech companies is preferred. Experience in immunology or oncology is a plus.
  • The candidates should have broad and in-depth knowledge of life sciences, biotechnology, drug discovery and development; have good laboratory skills in related fields, ability to proactively identify and solve problems; have good communication, coordination and organizational skills; pay attention to details; have strong teamwork spirit; have decisive yet flexible mindset to carry out assignments.

Deputy manager, Department of logistics

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall work of the department (mainly including procurement management, warehouse management, heavy equipment management).

Main job requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in biology or chemistry is preferred.
  • Familiar with purchasing management, warehouse management or equipment management.
  • At least 2 years of working experience or 5 years related experience is preferred.

Director, Department of medicinal chemistry

Main responsibilities:

  • Participate in R&D strategy formulation, project proposal evaluation, risk assessment, technical review, patent layout and other R&D decision-making issues.
  • Work with biology and other departments to set up company plans for R&D, provide support and advices on drug target selection, drug screening process, hit identification and confirmation, lead identification and optimization, and preclinical candidate drug selection in preclinical and clinical studies.
  • Be familiar with the latest developments in drug discovery, propose innovative and promising drug targets and new projects in time.
  • Based on the corresponding activity data and structure-activity relationship, put forward reasonable hypotheses, optimize lead compounds with computer-aided drug design and other methods, report the research data periodically, and lay out the deadlines and monitor the progress of internal R&D projects and outsourced projects.
  • Guide relevant researchers to engage in laboratory work and solve technical difficulties encountered during the process.
  • Take charge of personnel training within the department, team building, carrying out of R&D projects and coordination between departments to ensure the efficient implementation of various tasks.
  • Manage information security and laboratory safety of the department.

Main job requirements:

  • Major in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or related fields. More than 5 years of working experience for Master's degree, more than 3 years of experience for doctor's degree.
  • The candidates should be very familiar with the whole process of drug research and development, have working experience in innovative drug research and development, have the ability to lead research projects independently. Prior experience in peptide drug research and development is preferred.
  • The successful candidates also should have good English communication and writing skills, excellent literature searching, analyzing and organizing skills, problem-solving capabilities. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal communication skills with innovative thinking and exploratory mindset.

Manager, Department of medicinal chemistry

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide up to date information on market trends, demand-supply changes and other aspects to support the decision-making process of company strategies and goals.
  • Conduct active compound information research and patent analysis on interested drug targets, and participate in the design of new chemical entities with intellectual property rights owned by the company.
  • Guide the structural design, optimization, analysis of the target compounds.
  • Take charge of the synthesis strategy design, synthesis process and subsequent process optimization of target compound molecules.
  • Lead the team to clarify technical know-hows and solve technical difficulties in the project. Be able to effectively realize the transformation from laboratory trial to pilot trial and to industrial level production. Be able to solve any problems encountered during the process of the project implementation and ensure the successful carrying out of the technical solutions hence the smooth progress of the project.
  • Assist in medicinal chemistry team management, including cross-departmental cooperation and coordination, personnel training, build-up of talents at different levels and performance appraisal, etc.
  • Manage information security and laboratory safety issues of the department.

Main job requirements:

  • Doctor or Master’s degree with more than 3 years of relevant working experience. Major in chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry, etc.
  • The candidates should be familiar with the whole process of drug research and development, have working experience in drug research and development, be able to independently design the chemical synthesis routes and successfully implement as planned. Prior experience in peptide drug research and development is preferred.
  • The candidates should have hands-on experience in chemical synthesis and separation as well as structure analysis, have good English skills, excellent literature search, analysis and organizing skills, have management experience with good communication skills, high sense of responsibility and professionalism.
